ShapeShifter
There was a handout with them to show me how to make the many different uses for them
Like all of the non fleece neck gaiters out there the shapeshifter is thin and stretchy. This one does do a good job of keeping my face warm even in windy cold weather. It does get a bit moist around your mouth and nose naturally. I cut a hole in one of mine for my mouth which fixed the issue.
I decided to try out the ShapeShifter, as it was on a BOGO sale. Now, I have not had a chance to try them out, but neither end of them are hemmed. It's just the raw microfiber fabric where the cuts were made. Am I supposed to believe this is going to hold up and not start fraying soon after starting to use them? This seems awfully chintzy, SweatVac. The fabric is thin, as the description indicates, but it is even thinner than I expected. The ad stated, "It's gaiter season!" in the middle of winter. I don't think these are going to keep my neck very warm. Good thing I mainly ordered for summer usage out in the Sun. Having now handled this item, I am glad I didn't pay $15 apiece. Even at $7.50 each, they are over priced, not to mention the shipping cost. I love your skull caps for cycling, but this product feels and looks cheap.
As the saying goes: 'ye of little faith' The ringspun fabric of the ShapeShifter is designed to never fray. It's also thin but dense with lots of stretch. It is -2° F (-16° wind chill factor) in Chicago today and I walked my dogs this morning for about 25 minutes wearing a good jacket and gloves along with a SweatVac ShapeShifter and Winter Beanie. The ShapeShifter was pulled up from my neck to my nose and kept the cold out quite nicely. That particular one was a few years old, had been washed countless times and has never frayed. Give yours a try Rick. If you're not 100% satisfied we'll send you a return label and refund your money including the 'not to mention' shipping costs.
